This 2003 Ford E350 was brought to as a passenger van. The owners requested that it be turned into a simple RV with Air Conditioning, and a large bed and room to eat/read/watch TV in comfort, with a small kitchen and at least a clothes closet. We were happy to take on the challenge of the small space to work with and the added complexity of the rear air conditioning unit, that the customer hoped to keep. We were able to do some cutting, and re-routed their rear air vents to keep it functional, as they wanted. We began by stripping out the old carpeting and seats. Next the roof top A/C with heat strips and a roof top TV antenna was installed. To make this possible, we did have to reinforce the roof for strength. The customers wanted to stay with a gray interior to match the factory panels and dash. We installed a light/medium gray carpeting. The cabinetry is white melamine, and we trimmed everything with gray, fabrics and vinyl. We custom created the upholstery in light gray, accented with a graphite gray to match the original factory colors. Yes, we do all our upholstery ourselves. To best use the space available, and still be able to keep that rear AC equipment, we went with an "L" shaped dinette system that turns into a huge bed. We laminated one of the bed structures to double as night stand, when needed. There is storage under dinette seating/bed. The kitchen was equipped with cabinet, stainless steel sink, laminate counter top, 1.8 cu ft refrigerator, 700 watt microwave and 3 gal pump up water system. We custom created a clothes closet. Installed nightshades and created custom fit privacy curtains. We installed a 19" flat screen TV with DVD on a swivel bracket. This coach has exterior outlet, cable connection, comes with a 30 amp shore power twist loc, 1500 watt inverter, plenty of interior lighting and a porta-toilet. Bob thought of every detail to maximize the small space and make it user friendly. Everything is solid and so well built. Not a rattle as you drive down the road. Lois planned the perfect color scheme. They thought of everything that we didn't even know we wanted. It is beautiful! We love it. We were so excited we drove straight to the nearest campground to try it out for the night. Had to buy a toothbrush and some sheets. It was great!! 5 minutes plug in and ready to camp.
